the SA 1110 Strong-Arm based Intrinsyc CerfBoard, which acts as a
computational resource and acts as an NFS server for local storage
(an IBM microDrive, 340MB in a compact-flash form-factor),
and an 802.11 bridge core, the MPC823 based credit-card module from
EmbeddedPlanet (the RPX ) which provides a PCMCIA slot for the
Lucent Orinoco 11MBps 802.11 card.
All of these cores run Linux and are general-purpose computing
resources as well as serving their specialized IO functions, and
each consumes less than 3W of power.
